About 180 participants were at the project final conference: it has been very nice to see a big number of students and teachers from vocational schools participating to the conference. Moreover, some representatives of regional public authorities and a group of professionals associated to AEEBC coming from various European countries were there.

We presented the project general aims and context in the 3 different participating Countries (Italy, Finland and Norway) and the research “BIM as a driver for innovation and employment”, an overview at European level about the use of BIM and the existing BIM-related professional profiles.

Interesting BIM implementation experiences in real situations have been shown through a short movie and many pictures from Finland and Norway.

Innovative practices in training have been explained through the presentation of the project output “LEGO BIM GAME”. Moreover, Mr Bellini (Acer Ferrara) described the sperimentation of the italian training program: ITS students involved in a real case of building riqualification using BIM.

Mrs Bergamini, representative of Emilia-Romagna Region, illustrated the regional professional qualification system and focussed on BIM as driver for the development of new professional competences in building and construction in Emilia-Romagna Region, presenting the new Professional qualification “Technician for BIM modelling”.

Mr Balzani (CLUST-ER BUILD) closed the conference with a reflection on how the role of professionals in building and construction sector has changed over the years.
